Asian female elephant Schleich Wild Life 14753
The trunk of an elephant is as versatile as a Swiss army knife. The elephant, which has a good sense of smell, uses its trunk to smell, but it also sucks up water with it and uses it to hold on, lift trees, or cover itself with cool mud. To eat, the elephant grabs grass and leaves with its trunk, plucks them off the tree, and puts them in its mouth. A fully grown elephant consumes up to 150 kg of plants per day. The elephant can even produce human-like sounds with its trunk. It does this by inserting its trunk into its mouth and placing it on its tongue.
