This is the WWII Soviet heavy tank KV-2. It was designed and put into production from 1939-1941. The name KV is short for Kliment Voroshilov, the surname of a Soviet military commander. The crew of the tank consisted of 6 soldiers. The vehicle suffered from frequent breakdowns and was very heavy and slow. However, these shortcomings were offset by the powerful 152 mm gun, which was capable of destroying any enemy tank, regardless of the thickness of its armor. The KV-2 was also heavily armored. In fact, only a direct hit from the 8.8 cm Flak anti-aircraft gun could destroy it!
