Panavia Tornado GR.1 Cobi Building Blocks Armed Force 5852

Using 520 quality COBI building blocks, you can build a multi-track Panavia Tornado fighter in the colors of the British RAF (Royal Air Force). Carefully designed in 1:48 scale, the kit complements the very rich collection of Armed Forces combat aircraft. The kit includes only high quality prints, you wont find any stickers here! The aircrafts color scheme pays tribute to the heroic RAF pilots of the Second World War and mimics the camouflage used during that period. The model, like the original, has a mechanism that makes it possible to change the position of the wings (variable wing geometry). It also has an opening cockpit with room for two full-size figures, movable ailerons and wheels. The landing gear can be easily removed at any time to better display the aircraft on the included building block display stand. A nameplate is also included. Thanks to the intuitive instructions, the construction is simple and will not pose problems for less experienced builders. This kit will also meet the expectations of aviation, military and construction enthusiasts. The legend in the sky that Tornado undoubtedly is, will look great in your Armed Forces collection, no matter how old you are!

Panavia Tornados were variable-wing multi-role combat aircraft used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from the 1980s until 2019, when they were withdrawn from service. The Panavia Tornado was a biplane jet fighter, created by the Panavia Aircraft GmbH consortium, which included Germany, Italy and Great Britain. There were three main variants of Tornado aircraft in service with the RAF: GR.1, GR.4 and GR.4A. The GR.1 model was introduced into service in the 1980s. Tornados were used as ground support aircraft, fighters and for attacking aerial targets. They could carry various weapons, including guided bombs and rockets. The RAFs Tornado aircraft took part in various conflicts and operations, including the Persian Gulf War, Operation Allied Force over Kosovo, Operation Iraqi Freedom and the fight against ISIS over Iraq and Syria. The last Tornado aircraft were withdrawn from RAF service in 2019. They were replaced by more modern Typhoon and F-35 Lightning II aircraft, which are also part of the COBI collection!
