The PZL P.11 was a Polish fighter plane from the pre-World War II period. It was produced in Poland at the PZL factories from 1934-1936, as well as under license at the IAR factories in Romania. Approximately 350 aircraft were produced, with 200 of them being for the Polish Air Force. When introduced, this single-seat, high-winged aircraft with a radial engine, open cockpit, and fixed landing gear was among the most modern planes in the world. Unfortunately, it was quickly surpassed by more modern German aircraft. Eleven were the basic Polish fighter planes and are a symbol of Polish military aviation from the September Campaign.

The brick model has been painted in historical colors: number 4 and an emblem showing a swallow from the 114th Fighter Squadron IV/1st Fighter Division in the 1st Air Regiment. Eleven were flown by Polish pilot Tadeusz Sawicz, the leader of a group in this squadron, which was stationed in Poniatów near Warsaw before the war.
